We are currently seeking an experienced and innovative MEICA Manager to join our client, a market leader in the water industry. This role will be based out of London, overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) activities within a flagship Thames Water project.
As a MEICA Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful integration and delivery of MEICA elements, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and strategic direction for all MEICA activities within the Thames Water project
- Ensuring exemplary safety and quality standards are upheld throughout all MEICA phases
- Overseeing the implementation of the Business Management System (BMS) in MEICA-related tasks from tender handover to final completion
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams at all levels
- Ensuring optimal staffing levels and effective resource allocation for MEICA components
- Developing and endorsing comprehensive MEICA project execution plans and methodologies
- Approving detailed MEICA construction plans and method statements prior to project commencement
- Managing all commercial aspects of MEICA activities, including budget control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Coordinating with Project Managers and other senior staff to ensure project milestones related to MEICA are met
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale MEICA projects, preferably within the water industry
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, or automation engineering
- Advanced Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent certification
- In-depth knowledge of Construction Contracts, particularly NEC and/or IChemE
- Strong understanding of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large teams, manage resources effectively, and achieve strategic objectives
- Previous experience with water and wastewater treatment plants is highly advantageous
