Summary
About me...
I’m a young man that lives with my parents. I’m active and interested in a variety of activities from football to arts and crafts. I like to go out to the cinema, gym, swimming, bowling and socialising with friends. I need someone to help me with organisation, planning and developing my independence with everything, from handling cash to cooking. I need assistance to progress towards my long-term dream of independence within a supported living environment, while still living a normal life. I do not need any help with personal care, and ideally want to have someone that mainly supports me out in the community with a fun and creative activities rather than remain in my family home all the time. I find it difficult to organise gatherings with my friends to actually make it happen. The support you could offer me will be very individual to your own skills set, as I’m looking for someone to inspire me to try new things.

-Going to football games/ bowling/ pubs/ shopping/ gym/ swimming
-Money handling and social inclusion
-Organisation, admin and event planning to meet my friends
-Develop life skills
-Computer animation and gaming

-Creative, enthusiastic and adaptable person to find ways that I can learn and develop
-Good time keeping and highly reliable.
-Inspirational and proactive person
-Must have a driving license and a vehicle, which you are happy to use to transport me in.
-Previous experience with anxiety management
-Honest and clear liaison with the family
Desirable
-Previous experience in care and support roles
-An interest in football, cooking, creative skills,
-Non smoker
-Flexible to support me with day trips and/or over- night support eventually
-Computer skills to assist with animation gaming and story writing.
Summary Terms and Conditions
The rate of pay for this position is £12.00 per hour. Up to 10 hours per week, 2 shifts of up to 5 hours, (usually 3 hours) on Wednesday and Saturday daytime (hours flexible to be agreed) and other hours to be used as additional shifts as agreed mutually.
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks
If successful, you will be required to provide details of two referees, one of which must be your current or most recent employer, or character references if you have not been employed. This post is also subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
This post will also be subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
