Pay Rate: £11.66 per hour / Earn up to £29,153.30 annually.

Job Summary:

Imagine starting your day knowing you will make a significant impact. We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in Ipswich, Suffolk, and help create meaningful opportunities for the individuals we support.

We operate three supported living homes in the IP1, IP2 and IP3 areas of Ipswich, where we offer personalised social care services for people with learning disabilities and autism, including those with complex needs and behaviours of distress. Our goal is to promote independence and foster a positive, cheerful home environment.

Your Role:

As a Support Worker, you will find every day to be different and rewarding. The individuals you support enjoy a variety of activities that keep their lives vibrant and engaging. You will be there to encourage and empower them to thrive. Activities include long walks, tennis, swimming at the local pool, picnics in the park, theme park visits, and even Zumba classes!

Your support will be crucial in helping them live the lives they desire. This may involve driving to activities, either using a mobility vehicle or your own car, though being a driver is not essential for all homes. Additionally, you will assist with medical appointments, arranging prescriptions, administering medication, ensuring a balanced diet, providing personal care, and supporting mobility.

Shift Patterns:

This position requires working alternate weekends and bank holidays. Shift times are 7am-2:30pm / 2:30pm-10pm, with at least two sleep-ins per week. We will discuss your availability during the interview process to match you with the most suitable home.
