Summary
The Health, Safety and Environment department is an integral part of RAF Halton, ensuring compliance to Government Legislation and assurance to Head of Establishment/Station Squadron Executives. The Department consists of 1 HEO, 1 EO and 1 AO Grade. The role consists of providing administrative support to the Station Safety, Health and Environment Adviser (SSHEA) and Deputy (DSSHEA) office; to assist with the fulfilment of the Safety, Health and Environmental management system including management of First Aid at Work Training.
The candidate will liaise with RAF Halton Squadrons, Sections, Contractors as well as outside agencies on Safety, Health and Environmental matters including booking audits and follow up appointments, distributing audit reports and management of reports.
Experience of computer programs including SharePoint and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable as the holder will have to input data into spreadsheets. Experience in record keeping is also desirable. Another key role will be managing SharePoint pages as well as the office diaries. The role also includes acting as a minute secretary for Station Health and Safety meetings as required.
