Summary


To support the Band 7 Practice Facilitator Midwife in facilitating training and development of nursing/midwifery/medical and support staff within all clinical areas including the implementation of evidence-based practice. Contributing to the continual development of training and education to ensure world class services at UHCW.

The post holder will have a sound clinical knowledge with experience of disseminating training within the clinical environment. In addition, competence in IT skills to ensure training records are kept updated are essential to the role.


• Act professionally, developing the role of the nurse/midwife/and others in the best interests of the patient and profession in accordance with the relevant professional body codes of professional conduct.
• Maintain an identifiable clinical presence and undertake relevant clinical activities to maintain own clinical competency and to support staff in developing clinical practice.
• Ensure that evidence based practice is developed and implemented to improve patient care.
• Support corporate nursing/midwifery projects e.g. return to practice, newly qualified Midwives.
• Work collaboratively with other professional groups to maximise development opportunities and inter - professional learning opportunities.
