Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time role to join the nurse led integrated community respiratory team delivering care to the adult population of South East Essex.

The team have two sites, Rochford Hospital and Thundersley clinic and are looking for an experienced nurse who has a proven interest in respiratory disease to support in delivering respiratory care to patients in a clinic setting or their own home.

The team consists of specialist nurses and physiotherapists, associate practitioners, HCA's and admin support. As an integrated service the team provide assessment and review of patients with a confirmed respiratory diagnosis including COPD, ILD and bronchiectasis, diagnostic spirometry, virtual ward, oxygen as the local HOSAR and respiratory physiotherapy.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their respiratory knowledge in diagnosis, treatment and oxygen , whilst gaining competencies and experience to support the team in delivering evidence based practice.

To assist the team in the management and service delivery for local residents suffering from respiratory disease. This will require holistic assessment to meet health and social care needs and will include assisting with respiratory virtual ward, performing basic observations, venepuncture, capillary blood gases and undertaking spirometry.
