Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working closely with a fantastic SEN School in Horsham, designed specifically to cater to primary and secondary-aged pupils with autism.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support students with autism across various age groups, from primary to secondary levels.
- Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Facilitate engaging and interactive learning activities, including sensory play, communication exercises, and social skills development.
- Provide one-on-one support to pupils, helping them with daily tasks and reinforcing positive behaviours.
- Help create and maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's education and wellbeing.
- Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
- Experience working with children or adults with autism or other special educational needs is highly advantageous.
- A compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. (5:00pm finish on Wednesdays)
- A child-only DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care or Education is preferred but not essential.
