We’ve recently undertaken workforce change across the Data Protection Office service and are seeking an excellent astute support specialist to support the Data Protection Officer and Deputy.

What’s the role?

The post holder will lead and take responsibility for ensuring comprehensive specialist support for the development of key work streams, projects and strategies across the entire service.

The post holder will report directly to and support the Head of Information Security and Data Protection Officer / Deputy in working with multi-disciplinary staff.
• Provide comprehensive, high quality specialist support and management to assist in the planning and delivery of agreed projects and work streams relating to the service.
• Communicate with key individuals and use negotiating/persuasive skills to gain solutions to project issues, using own initiative.
• Plan and organise own portfolio of work to meet set deadlines and work under pressure, as required managing any unpredictable work patterns as best as possible.

Undertake activities utilising a range of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and appropriate programme/project management software.

The post requires a mix of on-site and home working to suit the needs of our service. Typically, one or two days a week depending on the service needs. The service has an agile working approach and planned meeting schedules so the entire service can plan accordingly their home and work life balance accordingly.
