Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Performance Manager to join our teamat North Middlesex University Hospital.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with effective experience working as part of a team. This role is intrinsic to the continuous development of performance management across the organisation and applicants should have a successful track record at a senior level, highly developed analytical and numerical skills as well as a knowledge of performance management systems.

The main aim of this role is to support the Head of Performance and Elective Access and Service Leads in the delivery of national and local targets, clinical datasets, national audits, quality schedules, service improvement programs and internal clinical pathways.

The post holder will provide specialist expertise on the application and development of elective performance and quality standards across the organisation. The role also involves external stakeholder relationship management with various performance managers and ICB colleagues across the referral catchment area to ensure an effective elective care pathway delivery across North Central London (NCL).

The role will lead on the production, development and promotion of a range of statistical and information services relating to elective operational and quality performance.


• Lead on all validation for the elective standards and compile monthly performance reports, including leading on the development of comprehensive operational performance reports for operational and clinical teams, with recommended actions for the improvement of RTT operational performance.
• Plan and manage the continuous improvement in quality and performance measurement across the Division through the continuous management, review and development of dashboard reports.
• Lead the monitoring of data completeness and quality and, with managers, ensure that actions are taken as required to improve accuracy and quality of data.
• Provide performance management expertise to the divisional teams, ensuring that performance metrics are interpreted correctly in relation to the work being performed.
• Lead the monitoring of contract activity, the completion and distribution of exception reports and the delivery of intelligence to commissioning leads in relation to the delivery of services against contracts.
• Collaborate with operational colleagues and commissioning leads to provide statistical evidence for the benefits of service design and redesign projects.
• Lead on improving local arrangements to support payment by results, the use of outcomes to monitor and improve performance
• Deliver analysis of clustering data to evidence the efficacy of differing approaches to service delivery between divisions

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.

The post holder will support the Performance Manager in breach validation and provide accurate breach analysis and comprehensive breach validation in accordance with national RTT Waiting Times. This post holder will support the RTT Waiting Times manager through the weekly patient tracking list (PTL) management processes in highlighting risks and issues that would potentially impact RTT performance or quality measure. Undertake specific projects to support the Trust in improving patient pathways, increasing patient satisfaction and improving efficiency. The post holder will be expected to work closely with colleagues and provide support where needed including cover during periods of leave.
