Summary
Step Teachers are working with a preschool in Islington that is looking for an experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant. This Nursery Teaching Assistant role is commencing in September 2024 on a permanent contract.
This wonderful pre-school is committed to children, families and parents in ensuring exciting learning experiences and opportunities.
Hours of work: 10-6pm/ 9-5pm (to be discussed at interview stage)
Nursery Teaching Assistant role:
- Make a positive impact, academically, socially and emotionally within the classroom
- Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
- Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities
Nursery Teaching Assistant requirements:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant/Early Years qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Previous experience working as an EYFS Teaching Assistant/ Early Years Practitioner
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
- SEN experience is desirable
