our Engineering team in Skegness, Lincolnshire.




LOCATION: SKEGNESS, LINCOLNSHIRE, WITH OCCASIONAL COVER AT OUR LOUTH SITE IN LINCOLNSHIRE

JOB TITLE: Multi Skilled Maintenance Lead Engineer

JOB TYPE: FULL TIME

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

SALARY: £44,000 - £45,000 PER ANNUM (MAY VARY DEPENDING ON SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE)



JOB PURPOSE:

To take ownership in organisation and overseeing for all types of works, reactive, planned preventative maintenance and projects
as required while helping to make sure shifts are manned, to at least minimum levels at all times. You will also take
responsibility for in house Health and Safety for the shift, as well as monitoring site systems, and recording failures on the
maintenance system.




To accept “ownership” of all site equipment and continually monitor, repair or replace any necessary operational parts in line
with prescribed company procedures.




The Candidate:

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Lead Engineer who has practical experience in a manufacturing or a production
environment who can essentially take ownership of the maintenance and work on their own initiative, with a proactive attitude
helping to drive the department forward.




Key Duties:

* To ensure that all services and production line machinery is continually operational through liaison with operators and shift
production managers.
* Coordinate with the team to plan Planned preventative maintenance schedules, insurance inspections and shift patterns.
* Follow all site safety rules and ensure that working practices in relation to Health, Safety and housekeeping are maintained,
identifying and immediately reporting all potential hazards and/or unsafe working practices.
* Take decisive action in the event of issues, look for prompt resolution and feedback your actions as needed.
* Manage and monitor processes to ensure the operations team have a high level of customer service both in the speed of response
and also the manner of communication.
* Manage and monitor processes to ensure the plant and machinery are operating efficiently feeding back issues to the operations
team.
* Ability to maintain plant and equipment to a high and professional standard. With electrical and mechanical skills as need to
suit the business.
* Carry out H&S inspections and carry out corrective actions.
* Awareness of ISO standards (50001, 14001) and ensuring the company complies with the standards, be aware of legal compliance
issues and act in a manner according to the standards / legislation.
* Have the ability to Project manage small and medium projects, including Continues improvement opportunities.
* Good IT skills in the use of Microsoft office products.
* Improving the effectiveness of the plant and equipment where appropriate, though continuous improvement.
* Look for opportunities to improve machine reliability in a safe and effective manner.
* Working / communicating with production and the engineering team to ensure plant and machinery is maintained.
* Clear communication with all relevant aspects of the business.
* Working with your colleagues to support the department’s activity and promote a healthy team ethos.
* Prompt and professional communication internally and externally at all times.
* Provide management team with regular reports on the performance and development of the consumables business.




Key experience essential for the role:

* Candidates must have a full driving licence.
* Candidates must be HND / HNC qualified within a relevant discipline or equivalent.
* Knowledge and experience of electrical and programmable logic controllers systems would be advantageous.
* 17th addition electrical and above would be advantageous.
* Steam awareness would be beneficial.
* Pneumatics would be beneficial.



Extra training and progression for the right candidate will be offered.
