Summary

Learning Support Practitioners
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Scale 4 (£23,735.92 - £24,211.20 FTE)
Fixed Term Contract: Term time only (38 weeks – pro rata £20,094.04 - £20,496.40) Salary includes 4% increase which will be effective from 1st August 2024

Are you keen to ensure that students are prepared for today’s digital world and can access the assistive technologies that will make their learning easier and accessible?
If so, we have exciting opportunities for Learning Support Practitioners to join our ALS team, part of our wide-ranging Learner Services team. In this pivotal role you will provide support to students with additional needs enabling them to achieve success on their chosen programme of study and take their next steps into further learning, work or training. The role may require you to support learners in all Curriculum areas across the College.
To be successful in this role you will need to be an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and have relevant experience within this field.
You will also need to have the following qualification:
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent
• Appropriate Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, or other support needs
• The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
