Summary

Catering Assistant (with driving) - South West Norse

  • Location: Salcombe Primary School to Aveton Gifford Primary School

  • Salary: £23,795.20 pro rata - Equates to £11.44 per hour

  • Hours Per Week: 15 hpw, Monday to Friday

  • Shift pattern: 11:00 - 14:00, Term-time only

  • 45p per mile mileage entitlement


South West Norse is the successful service partnership between Devon County Council and Norse Group, delivery a range of essential facilities management services to a growing number of clients in the region.
We are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join the team based at Aveton Gifford Primary School.

We will be providing a full catering service to the school, and your role will be to support the kitchen team with food preparation, service delivery and kitchen maintenance. This is a customer facing position, so you will need to be confident engaging with our clients on a daily basis.

As part of the role, you will be required to collect meals from Salcombe Primary School, delivering to and serving at Aveton Gifford Primary School. It is therefore it is essential you hold a Full UK Driving Licence for the role and access to a personal vehicle.

Your Experience:

We are happy to offer full support and training if you are looking to start a career within catering, however it would be an advantage for you to demonstrate:

  • Experience within a catering or dining environment

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Great communication skills

  • Good attention to detail whilst delivering an excellent customer service
