Summary


Deputy Director of Nursing Leadership and Quality; We are looking for an ambitious and inspirational leader to support the Director of Nursing, Leadership and Quality to lead the overarching quality framework within the East of England region, along with providing professional, clinicalandstrategic leadership within the following programmes:Palliative Care and End of Life, Continuing Health Care, Discharge and Experience of Care.

The post holder will have extensive experience of working at a very senior level across complex health and care settings and will be a credible clinical leader with an in-depth knowledge and experience of working to implement quality and improvement programmes at scale. The post holder will be expected to deputise for the Director of Nursing across the full portfolio including working alongside the in progressing the professional leadership agenda.

The post holder will work in close partnership with Professional Leads, Directorate Leadership and Corporate colleagues to facilitate the robust planning and supportofthe delivery of the organisation’s objectives and be a visible champion for quality and safety working in collaboration with stakeholders to reduce clinical risk and drive improvements.

The role requires the post to be system facing, working and supporting ICB’s whilstmaintaining a nursing and quality portfolio that reaches across the regional footprint.

The post holderwill
• Provide credible and visible professional leadership and expert advice and guidance to the wider regional team and health care system in relation to quality and safety.
• Hold responsibility and accountability for surveillance of the standard of quality and safety within the East region, in line with the organisation’s operating frameworks.
• Work as part of the Quality team within the nursing directorate and wider regional team.
• Take oversight of improvement strategies across the East of England to ensure improvements in quality are actioned and effective.
• Takeoperational responsibility for a range of quality directorate functions including Experience of Care, Palliative and End of Life Care, Continuing Health Care, DischargeLead andResearch.

The post holder will lead on a number of quality improvement initiatives related to safety, quality and nursing practice.
