Summary
Behaviour Support Assistant Location:
Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS17
Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours
Education and Training
£85 - £100 Per day
1. Provide support to children with challenging behaviour in an educational setting
2. Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies
3. Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe and positive learning environment
4. Monitor and record pupil behaviour and progress
5. Collaborate with parents and guardians to support pupil development
- A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and resilience in dealing with challenging situations
Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, or a related field would be advantageous
Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable
- Understanding of behaviour management techniques
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills
- Empathy and understanding towards pupils with behavioural challenges
- Safeguarding training
- First Aid certification
- Training in de-escalation techniques
- Work primarily within a school setting
- Full-time hours, temporary position
- Interaction with students, teachers, and parents on a daily basis
- Potential for challenging behaviour situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
