Our team is welcoming talented Trust Doctors to join us on a full-time 12-months fixed term contract based at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon. You will play a significant role in supporting the clinical and business interests of the Division.

Working alongside the Specialty Registrar, you will have the great opportunity to acquire knowledge and receive training from our highly qualified team of Consultants specialised in Fetal-Maternal medicine, Urogynaecology, Colposcopy and Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Unplanned Pregnancy, and Ambulatory Gynaecology.

To be eligible for this role, you will be a member of the Royal College of Physicians or have equivalent experience and training and must be fully registered with a license to practice with the General Medical Council. Completion of MRCP is essential.

You will be offered supervised clinical sessions which include the general Obstetrics and gynaecology, on calls for Obstetrics (12h) on call for Gynaecology, attendance to operating theatre, on call (9.00-17.00) for early pregnancy unit and maternity day assessment unit.

On call commitments will be completed by assisting the registrar on labour and delivery wards, emergency treatments, obtaining a medical opinion or performing various tasks as required.

During your ward rounds, you will be supported by the midwifery and nursing staff who will assist and guide you throughout your session.

As well as attending the inpatients, you will also attend clinics and Day Assessment unit where there will be more opportunities for extra teaching and training.

You will be expected to take an active part in medical education, as the Trust has a reputation for teaching and training with links to both Leicester and Cambridge.
