Applications are invited for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow (Post CCT) in Neuro-Oncology Neurosurgery commencing from 07 August 2024 for 12 months.

The Neurosurgical Oncology Service at Addenbrooke’s provides a service for the entire adult and paediatric population of Cambridge and East Anglia region and beyond; all in all covering a population of approximately 2.5 million.

The post is suitable for a post-CCT trainee in Neurosurgery or equivalent, who wants to specialise in neurosurgical oncology. The successful candidate will work with the 4 neuro-oncology surgeons at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Experience will be gained in all neurosurgical oncology conditions, including awake craniotomy, fluorescence-guided surgery and brain mapping, determined by the clinical workload. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake research projects during the clinical fellowship period.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
