Summary

The Role
Join the dynamic team at South Bank Colleges as a
KS4 & Young People Learning & Behaviour Support Assistant.
In this role, you will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision, at the direction of teaching staff and in line with the department policies and guidance.
You will play a crucial role in supporting South Bank Colleges to achieve organisational goals.
We are looking for a committed individual who has experience in, enforcing the class rules to ensure proper behaviour among students and being proactive to ensure students are getting the best experience available to them

The role is fully on site, 5 days a week.
Permanent – Full Time - 36 hours per week – All year round
Please note: The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Main Responsibilities
Helping students stay focused during the lesson
Support the documentation of students’ progress and communicating with parents where necessary
Helping teachers manage behaviour
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
Encourage Students to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all students in activities
Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self reliance
Provide feedback to Students in relation to progress and achievement
Providing a safe and healthy environment for Students
Supporting Students on trips and visits
Great communication and problem-solving abilitiesTo be aware of the principles of safeguarding children and young people as they apply to the role. Actively promote and implement the College’s Safeguarding Policy.
