Summary


We are recruiting for a Development Payroll Officer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for providing excellent customer service, who has an excellent telephone manner and excellent administrative and IT skills. The candidate must demonstrate attention to detail and be confident using Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines, working as part of a team to ensure payroll meets both statutory and NHS terms and conditions. Experience of Oracle or ESR is highly desirable.

You will work as part of a team ensuring an accurate payroll is produced according to defined deadlines, adhering to statutory and NHS terms and conditions, requiring knowledge and interpretation in all these areas along with the Trust’s computer system Oracle.

Complete complex calculations, resolve enquiries, and provide information or advice when required.

Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with Statutory/Trust regulations. Detailed knowledge of Trust, HCT & CCG’s local policies.

Undertake regular training, keeping updated with all new statutory regulations and NHS directives affecting pay.

Validate and check data input made by Human Resource department / Workforce and advise accordingly. This includes starters / leavers / change of circumstances.

As a trainee for a minimum of 12 months, you would be keen to learn and expected to work towards achieving competency in the main responsibilities on the job description . You will need to be organised andmotivated, taking notes and managing your learning effectively to meet the required standard. The majority of training will be targeted ‘on the job’ whilst working as part of the team.
