Job Description:
As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our school facilities. You will be responsible for the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on the school buildings, grounds, and equipment. Identify and report any major repairs needed.
Cleaning and Hygiene: Ensure all areas of the school are clean and tidy, including classrooms, corridors, toilets, and outdoor areas. Supervise and support cleaning staff as required.
Security: Maintain the security of the school premises, including opening and closing the school, monitoring access, and ensuring all security systems are functioning correctly.
Health and Safety: Implement and adhere to health and safety policies, conducting regular checks and risk assessments to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Grounds Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of school grounds, including gardening, litter picking, and snow clearing during winter months.
Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact for emergencies, providing assistance and taking appropriate action when necessary.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment, placing orders when needed.
Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably within a school setting.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Practical skills in basic plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
A proactive and reliable approach to work.
