Summary
Reporting to the Tax Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients providing an effective service on all personal tax compliance and advisory matters.
Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of clients including Owner Manged Business and large groups.
• Advising on completion of ATED and forms CT61 as required
• Review of corporation tax returns and computations prepared by junior members of the team.
• Provide corporation tax payment and quarterly instalment advice.
• Build relationships with clients to deliver exceptional service.
• Completing corporation tax file reviews and assisting the accounts and audit department with draft calculations
• Reviewing research and development claims
• Reviewing Capital allowance workings
• Identifying tax planning opportunities for individuals and advising on these
• Undertaking technical research and presenting this to clients and partners in a clear and logical way
• Dealing with HMRC on client’s behalf
• Attending client meetings as required
• Mentoring and developing less senior members of the team
Essential Qualifications/Skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and clients.
• Computer skills with good working knowledge of MS Office.
• Extensive work experience in Tax.
• Attention to detail and accuracy and a methodical approach and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Have good project management techniques, including decision making ability, analytical skills, time management, organizational, evaluative and administrative skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• A willingness to learn new skills as systems and needs develop.
Desirable Qualifications/Skills
• Working knowledge of CCH
