As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will be an integral part of the family at Calman College, no two days are the same but here is a brief overview of what your day-to-day duties may look like:

- One of the most important aspects of your role is to build strong and meaningful relationships with our students, adapting to each students way of learning.

- Supporting the Class Tutor and working together to review the progress of each student
Assist in carrying out programmes devised by a multi-disciplinary team, such as Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Educational Psychologists from our Therapeutic Services department - Assist in curriculum work with the students to ensure positive outcomes in line with their targets
- Contribute to the development of the students through the provision of a healthy lifestyle and a variety of appropriate stimulating activities.
- Support students to develop their communication skills utilising methods appropriate to their abilities. Ensure that the classroom is well presented and safely maintained.

What does my working week look like?
This role is Monday to Friday during term time
Our shifts operate from 08:45– 16:00
