Pay Rate: £15.49 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 4-5 months

City: London

The purpose of the role is to ensure the office estate is safe, secure and meeting all statutory compliance obligations whilst providing colleagues and customers a clean and tidy workplace that promotes productivity. The office estate must be well maintained to the agreed standard and where applicable, ensuring that all lease obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate and promote excellent customer service at all times.
Track all budget spend for your site/s.
Raising purchase orders, processing payments for services and seeking appropriate authorisation when required.
Ensure your site/s are safe, secure and compliant to include all routine tests such as weekly fire alarm test, panic alarm tests, 6 monthly evacuation drills, health and safety audits, accident reporting and desk occupancy audits as required.
Ensure key building/business stakeholders are informed of any issues that may affect the operation of the building.
Manage and maintain the site mailbox.
Produce and maintain all office signage as per the guidance notes and templates available.
Manage Fire Wardens, Fire Marshals and First aiders to ensure adequate cover within site/s.
Complete building checks as agreed and resolve issues to a satisfactory completion.
Maintain site log books for your site/s where applicable.
Maintain information on the shared drive to include: Building summary documents, compliance tracker, H&S checklists, building checklists and any relevant information.
Report any building or maintenance issues to the relevant person or contractor and monitor to ensure satisfactory completion.

Qualifications:

GCSE’s in English/Maths (or equivalent) at Grade C or above.



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communicator, authoritative and credible diplomat/ambassador for the team with a strong service culture with flexibility as needed to support the needs of the business
Able to represent the Property and Facilities department in a professional manner.
Demonstrate an empathetic understanding of issues faced by all residents and users, understanding their needs, cultures and expectations.
Knowledge of video conference and audio visual equipment.
Demonstrates an analytical and methodical approach with a keen eye for detail; excellent literacy and numeracy.
Previous experience in Facilities management preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
