The home you will be supporting hosts up to 77 residents with a dedicated team of Carers that are experts in the field of Alzheimer's Disease, Old Age and Physical Disabilities.
As an experienced care assistant, you will be required to follow individual’s care plans, care for and attend to the daily activities of the residents. This dedicated team of carers specialise in providing a full care package to encompass activities that promote wellbeing with residents suffering from dementia and they pride themselves in providing a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. This is a physically and mentally demanding job so you must have a real desire to work in this setting. You must have experience of dealing with residents with dementia, old age and physical disabilities and a desire to want to assist them in their activities of daily living to stimulate and improve their quality of life.
• NVQ LVL 2 as a minimum, OR time served with checkable work history
• Up to date Mandatory training documents in Safeguarding, Infection control, Moving & Handling and Hoist Training as a bare minimum.
• Up to date DBS/ CRB check for adult services, preferably on the update service but not essential.
This care assistant role is an ongoing temporary assignment.
This service is staffed 24 hours per day, currently we are looking for carers to work night shifts starting at 10 pm and finishing at 8 am. There are other shifts available on request. Weekend over time is available, with increased rewards.
