Exciting opportunities have arisen for a Health Care Support Worker to join our team on our Surgical Elective Ward on F12. As a team we offer support, both physically and mentally to all our patients from diagnosis, transitional from surgery and continually throughout their treatment plan. The acute setting can sometimes be very challenging but is very rewarding.

Ward F12 is a fast-paced working environment which gives staff the opportunity to use multiple transferable skills to provide the highest level of care to our patients.

Working on F12 will give you the opportunity to work alongside multiple disciplinary specialists. F12 provides amazing learning opportunities and provide staff nurses with the skills to care for acutely unwell patients.

You will also have the opportunity to work on the Theatre Admissions Lounge that cares for our elective patients before the transition to theatre which offers a wide variety of transferable skills.

Your care for other people and your willingness to go above and beyond to provide the best possible care to patients and relatives will ensure your success in the role. Friendly and approachable in your style, you’ll be someone who can communicate well, be able to organise your workload accordingly and be a reliable point of support for patients, relatives and your colleagues.

Completion of an NVQ level 2, apprenticeship in Care or equivalent training is essential for this role, please refer to the job description.

This is a real opportunity for dedicated and caring people who really want to make a difference to patient experience. Should you wish to apply for this post don’t wait too long as we may have to close the vacancy early and we really wouldn’t want you to miss out.
