Pay: £85-£100 per day, depending on experience

An established, growing Secondary School located in Bedford is looking to grow their support staff team for their on-site SEN department with a SEN Teaching Assistant.

This is a mainstream Secondary School located in Bedford, easily commutable from Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. A SEN Teaching Assistant here could expect to support a range of students with additional learning needs or disabilities. Types of needs include, Autism, ADHD, LD, EBD, SEMH, Physical Disabilities etc

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lesson plans that cater to individual student needs.
- Support students in their learning journey by providing one-on-one attention and guidance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support, ensuring a focused and respectful learning environment.
- Contribute to planning and organizing classroom activities, educational outings, and school events.
- Provide feedback and updates to teachers and parents on student progress and achievements.

Ideal applicant
- Previous experience in a Pastoral related or SEN Teaching Assistant role
- Ideally previously worked in a Primary or Secondary school before for at least 1 year
- An individual with good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education
- Be passionate about helping students to succeed in education
- Have a calming presence and be able to engage well with the pupils (Year 7 to Year 11)
- You will be dedicated to ensure that all children achieve their very best
- Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
