Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to fill the following post in our nursery Childcare Team: -
SENIOR CHILDCARE & EDUCATION PRACTITIONER
Full Time – 35.83 Hours/Week (Monday – Friday)
Salary – Up To £28,012.77/Annum depending on qualification
The purpose of the Senior Childcare & Education Practitioner is: -
To have a key role in the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality childcare and education services for a diverse range of children attending North Edinburgh Childcare’s Nursery.
To supervise the day-to-day work of team members and maintain an overview of the provision.
To be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy playroom within the nursery for children aged 4 months-5 years.
Applicants will have experience of working in an early years setting, a sound knowledge of key documents including Realising the Ambition, Pre-Birth to Three and the Curriculum for Excellence along with the ability to support others in the planning, implementation and evaluation of a high-quality early learning and childcare service.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other Senior Childcare & Education Practitioners ensuring good communication, partnership working and cohesive team work across the whole nursery. They will also work in conjunction with the registered nursery manager ensuring a solid flow of information, providing current room reports, and constant care plan/learning journal reviews/updates.
