Job Summary: They are seeking passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join their team in Portobello, Edinburgh. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for children aged 0-5 years. You will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering positive relationships with children and their families, and ensuring the overall well-being and development of each child in your care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Child Care and Development:
• Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Create a stimulating and safe environment that encourages exploration, curiosity, and social interaction.
2. Relationship Building:
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
3. Health and Safety:
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures, conducting regular risk assessments.
4. Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with fellow Nursery Practitioners and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
• Contribute to team meetings and training sessions.
5. Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of each child's development, activities, and any incidents.
• Complete necessary administrative tasks related to the role.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum of SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role within an early years setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and early education principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
