Summary
BANK CARE ASSISTANT JOB VACANCY, GREENOCK
We are looking for Bank Care Assistants to provide a high standard of care and support to older people, while promoting their independence in a friendly caring atmosphere.
Little Sisters of the Poor, Greenock is an exceptional, modern purpose-built facility registered for up to 28 older people.

Contract: part-time
Pay: £12 per hour
This role requires:
• Previous experience as a care assistant, preferably in a care home environment
• SVQ2 in Social Care, or to be prepared to work towards
• Flexibility around hours and days worked
• You must be legally able to work in the UK. We cannot sponsor overseas applicants for this post.
Main responsibilities:
• Attend to the wishes and comfort, personal care and support of our Residents
• Monitor and record observations including weight, dietary and fluid intake / output
• Participate in person centred care and contribute to the development of care plans
• Act as a keyworker for a designated group of Residents and participate in regular care reviews
• Assist with the reception and orientation of new Residents providing reassurance, care and support during their settling in period
• Provide assistance with dietary and fluid intake for Residents who require assistance to maintain a good state of nutrition and hydration
• Assist in and actively encourage the social and recreational care and wellbeing of the Residents
• Provide escort duties when required to assist Residents to Hospital and planned outings
• Maintain a safe and tidy environment in Resident’s rooms including bed making/changing linen and ensuring appropriate stock of linen, sundries and working facilities
