The Opportunity:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational, risk, and administrative management of a new NIHR Global Health Research Group ‘Addressing the Commercial Determinants of Health in Sub-Saharan Africa’ (ACORDS), working closely with the Project Lead, co-investigators and partner organisations in Ghana, Kenya and South Africa.
This post is fixed term for 48 months, available from 1 July 2024
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Degree in a relevant subject, plus hands-on experience in a similar or related role, or vocational experience, demonstrating development through involvement in progressively more demanding relevant roles
Proven project management experience including budgeting and financial planning
Ability to plan and organise own work and provide leadership within the consortium team.
Ability to work on own initiative and meet completing deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
