Summary
Primary Teaching Assistant Job in East Leeds
I am working with a Primary School based in the Seacroft area of Leeds who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support them in their mixed Year 3/4 Class. The role is to start as soon as possible and will run until at least the end of the academic year in July 2024.
The role will involve
- Supporting the class teacher in full lessons keeping children engaged and on task.
- Taking small groups for targeted work to boost progress.
- Supporting pupils with SEN or behavioural needs on a one-to-one basis during lessons to ensure they are accessing their learning.
What the school are looking for:
- Previous experience of working with children or adults with learning needs,
- A calm, caring person who can build relationships with the pupils to foster a positive working relationship.
- Experience working in a TA role within a school would be an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
