ISCAN Scheduler
Full time 37.5 hours per week
Permanent contract

ISCAN (Integrated Service for Children with Additional Needs) Schedulers work alongside the wider ISCAN therapy team to provide effective operational and administrative support to meet the needs of both the therapists and patients.

The role involves liaising with parents and carers, therapists, and educational settings. It also involves appointment booking, management of waiting lists, producing resources, team working and general office duties.

The ISCAN Scheduling Team operate from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm, and are based at Rowan House Clinic

To work alongside therapists to provide operational and administrative support.

To use the inpatient data system package to book patient appointments, upload documents, and manage waiting lists.

Effective communication with colleagues, patients, parents/carers and external organisations.

Working in a fast paced environment.

To communicate in an efficient, sensitive, and professional manner face to face, by email, or over the telephone with colleagues, patients, and external organisations.

To input/amend information into PAS ensuring records are up to date and accurate.

To manage waiting lists and appointment bookings.

Send out appointment letters as required according to process.

Ensure team leaders are aware if there are capacity issues to accommodate appointment bookings within the given wait time.

Arrange interpreters for patients as required.

To have an awareness of communication difficulties and be able to adapt communication style as appropriate.

To work closely as a team with ISCAN Scheduler colleagues and the wider ISCAN team.

Prioritise workloads on a day to day basis, working around interruptions, and reorganising where appropriate.

To follow polices and procedures in the service and wider Trust.

To pass on requests for medical advice to therapists/clinicians.

Undertake general office duties as required.
