Main Duties/Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Consultant Paediatric Psychologist, other team members and the wider paediatric multi-disciplinary psycho-social team, contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive clinical psychology service for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
- To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.
- To propose and implement policy changes within the paediatric oncology clinical psychology service.
- To provide specialist advice and consultation on patient's psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues
- To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of the psychological practice within the service.
- To ensure the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice of the Health and Care Profession's Council, British Psychological Society, and Trust policies and procedures.
Essential:
- Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in Psychology
- At least six months recent NHS experience
- Must have Right to work in the UK / No sponsorship required
- At Least two year's experience working in a diagnostic environment, demonstrating competence in a variety of examination protocols
