We are looking for two committed female care workers to support a husband and wife to remain independent at home. The support is to help them with all daily living tasks including personal care.
The husband and wife live in their own home and require two individuals to support them every day of the week. They require somebody to help with:
· Personal care – morning and evening routine including washing and dressing· Medication prompts· Meal preparation and support & encouragement to eat (predominantly the female client)· Basic household tasks associated with daily living tasks such as changing bed line, washing dishes from preparing meals for example.
The successful applicant:· Will be able to travel to the clients address for the split shift calls· Be experienced (formal or informal) at providing home care support to vulnerable individuals· Be committed to the role of caring for vulnerable individuals· Be honest, polite and courteous and respect the confidentiality of the clients.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate will be required and full cost will be met by employer.
Where appropriate, full training and demonstration of tasks will be provided including moving and handling, medication administration and adult safeguarding.
Rate of Pay: £13.09 per hour
Hours Breakdown:
Total hours per week 16 ½ hours per week to be shared by two workers
· AM morning call 1 ¼ hours x 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)· AM morning call ¾ hour x 2 days per week (Weekend)· PM call 1 ¼ hours x 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)· PM call ¾ hours x 2 days per week (Weekend)· Additional - Monday lunch time 1 hour call
