The Council Tax and Benefits team are looking to recruit an experienced, forward-thinking Team Leader whose technical abilities and people management skills will help them to lead, manage and inspire an established team of Council Tax and Benefits Officers.

The successful applicant will be capable of working within a fast-paced environment, possess the ability to adapt to ever changing situations, have the ability to prioritise and manage multiple work assignments and special projects simultaneously. You will be managing a small team of officers within a team of 27 people.

You must have excellent communication skills, a commitment to customer care and be proficient in the use of software systems. You must also be capable of working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring consistency and accuracy. This is a demanding yet rewarding role for those who work well under pressure.

You will have proven Council Tax and Benefits knowledge along with some supervisory experience.

This role will require a basic Disclosure and Barring Service check (known as a DBS check). All offers of employment will be made conditional upon receipt of the satisfactory DBS check.
