Summary
A part-time fixed-term role for 12 months (22.5 hours pw), it is required to be in our office in Nottingham.
Hours: 09:00 – 17:30
Salary pro-rata: £33,899 - £35,683
For 22.5 hours: - £20,340 - £21,400
This is a new role providing extra resource and presence in our Beeston Office. As the People Advisor you will support a diverse customer group with general Employee lifecycle concerns. You will be required to build strong relationships with managers as the expert on day people issues. You will have the opportunity to own and deliver sustainable solutions to what otherwise be ER issues. This role will expose you to a number of general People disciplines including the planning of resourcing activity, change management, employee engagement and wellbeing, employee relations management, people projects, and colleague capability and skills.
This role reports to the Head of People, but uniquely is across Directorates so is an opportunity to gain insight in a number of business areas and the different challenges each directorate. Strong collaboration will be required working closely with the wider HR team to support where there are fluctuations in workload. A key aspect will be to strengthen MTVH’s culture, embed our values into how we deliver services, and create the right environment for improved organisational performance. Being a presence for the People team in Beeston to be the first point of contact for general queries you will be key in driving the People strategy and making it come alive to the wider business.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Previous experience in delivering great customer service in a HR environment is essential, you will have great relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. You will also have a curious, analytical, and pragmatic approach, and be able to identify the opportunities and risks in various courses of action. To support this, you will have a sound knowledge of current UK employment legislation and HR best practices and will have experience in coaching and influencing others to achieve results.
