We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Advisor to join the People's Services Hub at The Open University, to start as soon as possible until 31/07/2024. Based at the main campus in Milton Keynes, this temporary hybrid position offers full-time hours and pays £21.06 per hour.

About the Role:

The People's Services Hub comprises operational teams responsible for delivering people services support and advice across the entire employee lifecycle.

  • Providing day-to-day advice and guidance on People Services policies and processes
  • Administering People Services processes throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Maintaining and developing People Services systems for operational efficiency
  • Delivering recruitment support to enhance capacity and capability aligned with strategic priorities
  • Offering specialist advice on immigration and employment vetting matters to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Senior HR Operational Enablement Manager in operational and service management improvement activities
  • Contributing to end-to-end process review, mapping, and efficiency realization for better employee experience
  • Leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of new systems or processes related to Disclosure Barring Services
  • Conducting regular internal audits on processes and records related to Disclosure & Barring Services
  • Ensuring the university complies with internal requirements and safeguarding obligations
  • Building strong working relationships with key members of the People's Services Hub and broader People Services teams

Skills & Experience:

Ideally, you should have:

  • Proven experience in HR Shared Services or HR Operational environments within large, complex organizations
  • Demonstrated expertise in reviewing and improving high-volume HR processes efficiently and technologically
  • Familiarity with HRIS (preferably Success Factors Employee Central)
  • Experience in HR-related compliance activities, particularly screening and vetting
  • Data-driven decision-making skills
  • Successful track record of operationalizing process changes within HR Shared Service or Operational teams
  • A customer-centric approach to process delivery
  • Adaptability and responsiveness to change
  • A commitment to making a difference and achieving outcomes
