Summary

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To provide administrative support to the Director of Clinical Studies for Leicester Medical Students and Medical Education Manager.

The post holder will provide high-level administrative support for the delivery of the Leicester Medical School undergraduate curriculum for medical students on placement to the Trust.

The post holder will also be expected to assist with the wider Postgraduate Medical and Dental agenda.

In 2017 Leicester Medical School introduced a revised curriculum. This new curriculum places a far greater importance on longer clinical placements in teaching partner hospitals from the start of the clinical phase of the medical curriculum.

An outcome of the new curriculum is increased numbers of students in the clinical years of the course, resulting in increased numbers on existing placements to Peterborough City Hospital together with the introduction of new placements.
