Summary

Sector / Senior Project Manager who has excellent team leadership and management skills with experience delivering PLC / SCADA projects, preferably within the Water / Wastewater industry is required to join our team at Actemium Automation based in Waterlooville, Hampshire.

Successful candidates will need NEC Contracts experience.


SALARY: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum + Generous Benefits (see below)

JOB OVERVIEW

Following business growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Sector / Senior Project Manager to lead our Water / Wastewater Team.

Working as the Sector / Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering projects in the water / wastewater industry for two major water customers in the South.

The water / wastewater team is made up of project managers and engineers. In addition, the role would be part of our leadership team developing the strategic growth of the business unit.


DUTIES

Your main duties as the Sector / Senior Project Manager include:

• Lead the water / wastewater team, line managing Engineers, including production and review of training plans and performance appraisals

• Direct involvement in the recruitment of new Engineers

• Ensure all of the team, including subcontractors, promote a health, safety, and environmental conscious culture

• Delivering circa £2M pounds of work annually

• Managing the account with the key water customers and delivering projects

• Point of contact for customers and suppliers – building and maintaining good, ongoing professional working relationships, managing expectations (customers) or utilising expertise (suppliers)

• Responsible for Resourcing / Project loading / Order bank Management for the Team

• Review and reflect on project delivery to identify areas of continuous improvement

• Perform the role of the lead advisor to the business within your sector speciality

• Review and manage relevant internal standards and procedures

• Monitor of national and international standards to ensure that business standards and procedures remain current

• Ensure successful interaction between the different Sector Project Managers and teams to ensure that the goals of the business unit are met

• Prepare and review quotations, managing nominated customer accounts

• Identify gaps between customers current systems and their future needs

• Review of quotations and project designs whilst under development

• Lead the drive in the sector to improve SHEQ Systems and Standards

• Ensure all control systems are designed and tested

• Demonstrate commercial awareness by examining, negotiating, and overseeing contracts with both customers and subcontractors

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Sector / Senior Project Manager you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Experience of delivering PLC / SCADA projects in the market vertical (Water / Wastewater)

• NEC Contracts experience

• Ability to develop and maintain great relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues

• Be a dynamic and proactive team player who strives to deliver high-quality work at the highest level of customer service

• Experience carrying out site surveys to understand the project requirements and to produce accurate quotations

• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality, while working to demanding deadlines
