This is an exciting time to be joining the Active Wellbeing Team as part of the wider Community Team at Havant Borough Council. As
an ambitious and innovative team, we aim to create accessible environments for residents to lead physically active, healthy lives
by developing sustainable services, infrastructure, and partnerships.



The post provides an opportunity to work in partnership with community organisations and physical activity providers to
co-ordinate the successful Get up and Go Programme and other physical activity initiatives.



The role administers the daily operations of the Get up and go Project, including the management of the website, participant
bookings and marketing. It provides support to our most inactive residents, enabling them to become more active.



You will support the development of opportunities for those who face the greatest health inequalities locally, to increase their
physical activity. The role works to maximise external funding received through the Energise Me Active Health Programme and other
schemes. The post will help grow the GU&G Programme through data and insight driven interventions that are co-designed with
priority communities.



The post requires somebody who can effectively communicate with a range a people, understanding the anxieties and motivations of
our most inactive communities. You will support in positively impacting people’s behaviours, enabling them to move more.



You will be a proactive person who understands the Health, Leisure, Sport or Physical Activity industry. You will have the
ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with activity providers, partners and internal teams.



The successful candidate will hold a full clean driving licence and have access to their own vehicle for business use.



You will need to work to a hybrid working style, with a combination of remote/home working, office attendance and regular meetings
within the community. Therefore, you will need to be within a commutable distance of Havant.
