About Us:
UKAEA (United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority) is a pioneering organization dedicated to advancing fusion energy research. Our Building and Estates Management department plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our site facilities.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an Administrative Support Officer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Manager, Estates Support Manager, and Assistant Support Manager to facilitate key activities related to site management and service provision.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for callers to the main site telephone number, providing polite and efficient assistance to create a positive impression of UKAEA.
Administer the Estates Development Control Process, ensuring adherence to strict time scales and processes.
Manage bookings for on-site sports facilities, coordinating usage efficiently.
Monitor winter weather conditions from October to April for site safety purposes, reporting findings to the Estates Support Manager.
Input data related to utility readings, identifying and reporting any issues to the Estates Support Manager.
Undertake other administrative duties to support the team during periods of absence and peak workloads.
Qualifications and Experience:
Good basic level of education and strong IT skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
Relevant experience in a customer service environment.
Customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational abilities to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Assertive demeanor when dealing with stakeholders to ensure prompt information exchange.
Attention to detail, especially in checking contractor-supplied figures.
Ability to problem-solve simple issues, seeking guidance when necessary.
Additional Information:
This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment, supporting various aspects of site management.
Occasional interaction with internal and external stakeholders is expected, requiring strong communication skills.
Training and support will be provided to help you excel in your role and contribute effectively to the team's objectives.
