Summary


Are you an established Health Care Assistant looking to expand your knowledge within a clinic and a home visit setting? Join our supportive and experienced Complex Leg Ulcer service!

You will help to actively support Complex Leg Ulcer Service, assist with implementing care for patients attending the Leg Ulcer clinic, under the supervision of the Registered Complex Leg Ulcer Nurse. You will support setting up and cleaning the clinic room, including equipment before and after each clinic.You will support the treatment and management of patients that have complex leg ulcers both in clinic and within the wider community.

This post is a part time, weekday role of 17 hours listed below.Car driver is essential for this role due to community cover.

Monday- Village Surgery, Poole12:00-15:30

Wednesday(level 3 clinic) - The Browning Centre, Shelley Road, Bournemouth12:30-16:00

Thursday- Village Surgery, Poole12:00-15:30

Friday- Home Visits covering East Dorset08:30-16:00

Work in partnership with patients, carers and enable patients to make informed choices. Have an awareness and comply with the principles of Infection control and prevention within a clinical environment.

Maintain a high standard of individualised patient care and report any changes in their condition or concerns to the Registered nurse in clinic.

Adhere to Trust's Risk Management procedures including incident reporting and complaints procedure. Comply with legal requirements e.g., Data Protection, Caldicott.

Ensure that all equipment provided is maintained and in good order. Report any damaged/non-functioning equipment to the Registered Nurse and ensure adequate stock levels.
