Summary

EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Waltham Forest

Salary: £94-104 per day

Contract Type: Long term to Permanent

Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate and empathetic SEN TA to support children with special educational needs in an Early Years Setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive and nurturing environment that fosters the holistic development of all our students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with special educational needs.
- Adapt and modify learning materials to suit individual needs and abilities.
- Assist in planning and implementing tailored interventions and strategies.
- Monitor and record progress, tracking the development of each child.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a coordinated approach to support.
- Create a safe and welcoming environment where all children can thrive.
- Support children with personal care and emotional well-being when necessary.
- Encourage independence and social integration among all students.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on SEN best practices.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and attributes:
- A minimum of Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent.
- Prior experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in an Early Years setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting the development of children.
- Knowledge of various special educational needs and interventions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new strategies and approaches.
