Summary

We're looking for someone with a strong team ethic, a compassionate nature, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you'll be assisting patients across various settings within the acute hospital environment. You'll work collaboratively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing Occupational and Physiotherapy services to individuals with diverse Orthopaedic conditions on acute inpatient wards.

Essential requirements include prior experience in a therapy assistant role or in a hospital/caring rehabilitation setting. Additionally, you should either hold or be working towards an AHP NVQ level 3 qualification.

You will be supporting patients, their families, and carers in achieving their rehabilitation goals to the fullest extent possible. This involves adhering to treatment programs devised and offered by the Allied Health Professionals (AHP) involved and strive to ensure that individuals receive the necessary support and guidance throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Additionally, you will function as integral member of the multidisciplinary team, operating under supervision. Maintaining open and effective communication with AHPs and other team members, including doctors, nurses, and social workers to facilitate the achievement of the Predicted Date of Discharge (PDD) .
