Further information:
A Personal Assistant is required to support an 13yr old boy in the HU5 area of Hull. He likes listening to music and being outside in open spaces. He loves to run around in the open air, likes the company of adults and loves cuddles and hugs.
He is good at interacting with other people, but does like to control his own space and does not like being hemmed in. The PA will be required to support him through interactive play.
He is self-content and does not have tantrums. He needs adult supervision at all times as he has no concept of danger. He is non-verbal and will not ask to be fed or to go to the toilet. He will need support and assistance with all aspects of personal care.
Previous experience of working with young people who have Downs Syndrome and/or qualification would be an advantage, but not essential as all necessary training will be given.
The successful applicant will be employed subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
