Ribble Valley Borough Council is located in the heart of Lancashire, the borough is made up of picturesque towns and villages with scenic countryside; it is also known as the food capital of the north. The majority of the borough is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Environmental Health Officer to be the lead officer for food law and workplace health and safety enforcement.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team you will be responsible for inspecting major food manufacturers, approved food premises and high-risk food premises. You will also assist in the management of infectious disease outbreaks and contribute to the response of major incidents, both local and national where appropriate.

You will lead and work within a small, busy team, supporting and supervising officers in the field.
