We have an exciting opportunity available for a motivated, patient-centred leader with expert skills in cardiac rhythm management to come and lead our invasive Cardiac Physiology Team at Cambridge University Hospitals. We have a well-established, high functioning team working as part of the wider cardiac physiology and cardiology service. You will lead this team, overseeing the day to day running of the department as well as budget control, audit, training and education, and leading on service planning and development to ensure effective, evidence based service delivery.
You will oversee the CRM training, education and research programme for the department, developing and implementing a training strategy for all CRM trainees (including STP, Cardiology registrars, internal development posts working towards BHRS accreditation) as well as continued professional development of qualified staff. You will line manage the Band 7 team members within the department. There will be opportunity to undertake ILR implants and develop the non-medical service in this area.
You will lead and oversee the quality assurance process for the department along with the consultant clinical scientist, ensuring it is fit for purpose and implemented in line with local policy to maintain IQIPS accreditation. You will act as an expert practitioner providing advice and direction to the rest of the team and other members of the MDT.
You will be an expert in cardiac rhythm management and will work with the wider team to ensure effective, evidence based service delivery for, implementation of and adherence to best practice guidance and identification and introduction of service developments.
