Summary

Welder / Fabricator who has good welding and metalwork experience is required for a busy vehicle bodywork company based in Bristol, South West England.

ALL WELDING AND METAL FABRICATION EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED

Previous commercial vehicle bodywork experience would be great. But not essential.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Welder / Fabricator has good welding and metalwork experience.

Working as the Welder / Fabricator you will join an existing team and will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, utilising your expertise in welding and metalwork to build new commercial vehicle bodies. Previous commercial vehicle bodywork experience would be great. But not essential, providing you have a solid welding and metalwork background.

As the Welder / Fabricator you will need to be a team player with the ability to work on your own initiative and preferably work with a range of materials.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Welder / Fabricator include:

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks according to project requirements

• Fabricate and assemble vehicle components, including chassis, body panels, and structural elements

• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and alignment

• Select appropriate materials and welding methods for each project, considering factors such as strength, durability, and aesthetics

• Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards and client expectations

• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices for welding and metal fabrication


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Must be fully conversant with mild and galvanised steel MIG welding processes. Any Alloy MIG Welding skills would be advantageous

• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, and shaping

• Familiarity with automotive assembly techniques and components (Desirable)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
