A Vacancy at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

Clinical Scientist / Advanced Healthcare Science Practitioner (Audiology) – Vestibular Focus preferred
Band 7 – Suitable for newly qualified Clinical Scientists
Full time, permanent

We’re looking for a Clinical Scientist / Advanced Audiologist with a special interest in vestibular testing to join our friendly audiology team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a service that provides care for adults and children, and the role offers the chance to practice other aspects of audiology alongside its vestibular focus. We would welcome applications from those who specialise in other aspects of Audiology as we have a variety of specialists within our team. We’re also happy to support applications for STP equivalence via the Academy of Healthcare Science.
The role is perfectly suited for candidates looking to develop their leadership skills. It comes with a variety of responsibilities related to quality assurance, supervision and service development.

As an audiologist with a vestibular testing specialism, you’ll be responsible for vestibular assessment and rehabilitation in adults. You’ll also have the option to develop other clinical interests, including within our developing Bone Conduction Hearing Implant (BAHA) service.

The role may include line management responsibilities and will offer opportunities to develop and lead on innovative projects within the team. As a senior clinician, the successful candidate will be supported to develop their leadership skills through further training and professional development.

The post-holder will have specialist knowledge of a wide range of procedures and practices underpinned by practical experience, and knowledge maintained through professional registration and CPD activity. To apply, you should have NHS experience and a Masters-level qualification (or equivalent) in Audiology. You must also have HCPC or RCCP registration to be considered for this role.

If you’d like to discuss this opportunity or arrange an informal visit with us, please contact Ann-Marie Hawkins or Shameela Munir on 024 7696 6444.
