Our valued client is a small family run children's home located in the heart of Peterborough. Their sole mission is to provide exceptional care for children aged between 8-18 years who have learning disabilities. They are committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters growth and development. They're currently in the market for a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join their team for a new home in Peterborough.
As a Deputy Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children, while supporting and assisting the Home Manager in the daily running of this unique care setting.
Deputy Manager Duties
- Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans
- Monitor and review the performance of staff members
- Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained
- Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of team members
Deputy Manager Requirements
- Holds a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- 2 years relevant supervisory experience
-2 years experience of working in a residential setting with young people with LD and challenging behaviours.
- Possesses excellent leadership and team management skills
- Has strong understanding of OFSTED requirements
- Demonstrates a high level of empathy and understanding towards the needs of children with learning disabilities.
